A picture of The Waits
The Waits is the western end of what is really the High Street that runs east to west through St Ives. The northern side of the street has a number of 16th and 17th Century buildings, in fact most of the buildings in the Waits are Listed Grade II, the most interesting of which are the old butcher's shop and Burleigh House. One the southern side of the Waits is a small Mini-Park adjacent to a small branch of the River Great Ouse with room for about six river boats to moor overnight.
