A picture of The Dolphin Hotel
These additional facilities may have different opening times, follow link for details
The Dolphin Hotel stands on the site of the former Dolphin Inn which it replaced in the 1960's. The hotel is located on the south bank of the River Great Ouse close to the town centre of St Ives on the northern bank. The Hotel overlooks the river and the open countryside of Hemingford Meadow.
The Dolphin Hotel has an enormous car park, a large bar, meeting rooms, a fitness suite and a very popular restaurant, especially Sunday Lunch times. The hotel is also a popular location for weddings but these are normally held in the Meadow Suite, as are other civic functions, and thus do not normally interfere with guests using the other hotel facilities.
Access to the town centre is via the Listed Grade I (English Heritage) bridge with it's famous chapel so the shops, restaurants and bars are only a hundred metres or so away. Owing to its age the bridge is largely pedestrianised with very limited vehicular traffic.
Both the current hotel and the former inn get their name from the word Dolphen, which is the architectural term for part of a structure protecting a bridge.

Organised by Crossroads Care (Cambridgeshire)
Crossroads Care Cambridgeshire are commissioned by Cambridgeshire County Council to provide social groups for carers throughout Cambridgeshire.
Groups meet in local community venues for socialising, information sharing and sign posting, activities or one off events.
We ...are hoping that as many carers as possible will come to the sessions or get in touch and give us their ideas to ensure we are providing what they want, when they want it.
Replacement care and transport may be available if needed.
Carers, please get in touch and encourage others that you know to come along and make these YOUR groups.
